Biography

Liu Kai, Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Chief Physician, Professor, Ph.D. in Surgery (Plastic Surgery), Doctoral Supervisor. His clinical expertise includes cleft lip and palate, double eyelid surgery, burn reconstruction, scars, ocular plastic surgery, breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, nasal trauma, nasal plastic surgery, revision rhinoplasty, fat grafting, and other treatments. He is a Standing Member of the Minimally Invasive Aesthetic Surgery Subcommittee of the Beauty and Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, a Member of the Rhinoplasty Subspecialty Committee, a Member of the Replantation and Reconstruction Surgery Group of the Repair and Reconstruction Surgery Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, a Member of the Chinese Plastic Surgery Association, a Member of the Chinese Plastic Surgeons Association, an Overseas Member of the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (ASRM), a Member of the International Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Society (IPRES), and a Member of the International Society of Plastic and Regenerative Surgery (ISPRES). In basic research, as principal investigator, he has completed one project funded by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and one National Natural Science Foundation of China project; he is currently undertaking one subproject of the National 863 Program and two General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published 8 SCI-indexed articles as first author and corresponding author, with a total impact factor of 30, more than 20 articles in domestic core journals, and has contributed to 3 domestic monographs and 1 international monograph.
